It’s one of my favorite Sundays of the year: Super Bowl Sunday. Part of me is sad because it’s the end of football season (my favorite sports season), but I’m also very excited. It’s an all-American tradition so below is an all-American recipe round-up for your Super Bowl parties.
I made these once in high school. I was almost trampled because they were a hot item. Word of advice: some people like the plain cheese business. I’ll probably spice it up with bell peppers, spinach, and some ground beef (or ground turkey for those of you that are health conscious). These are a fantastic finger food.
If your the host, you may want to make this in bulk as it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Is it even a party if there’s no guac? Spice isn’t optional. Do the spice.
Let’s face it: everyone and their mom’s neighbor is going to be ordering pizza today. It is always good to have a back-up, or a second option for those who are
aliens non-pizza eaters.
Finger food is the theme of the day. These hand pies make it easy to grab one without ungluing your eyes from the TV. This is a fairly easy recipe to manipulate. So, if you’re not feeling the apples, switch it out for blueberries, peaches, strawberries, or other great fruits.
Just Buy It
Maybe you’re the invitee and you were not blessed by the cooking gods. Maybe you’re on the way to the party with no idea what to get from the store. Some safe bets to buy and bring are tortilla chips, a veggie platter, a fruit platter, ruffled chips, cookies, and beer.
I’m looking forward to gaining 10 lbs. and watching the Seahawks win. I’m not even going to pretend to cross that out.
